Education rooted in Islamic values.
The At-Tarbiya Knowledge Project is rooted in our commitment to spiritual growth and moral development. It aims to empower individuals through education inspired by Islamic values of monotheism and sincerity. We are building a multi-purpose knowledge lodge for young Muslims in the Asante Akim South District. This predominantly non-Muslim area of Ghana is significantly behind in Islamic education, understanding and practice.
Since the above communities are rural and far removed from Islamic teachers, the project brings Islamic teachers from the cities to spend a weekend in these communities, teaching them the basic tenets of Islam and inculcating the values of monotheism, sincerity and justice in them. The program nurtures faith, integrity, and service by integrating life skills, religious teachings, and moral education, fostering holistic development in a safe and supportive environment.
The program sponsors da’awa trips to hard-to-reach parts of Ghana. These trips do the same as above by providing spiritual guidance, distributing Islamic learning materials and engaging communities in enriching activities that promote equity and uplift local lives through shared knowledge and values. It also trains local people to take over the teaching of these communities.
We have bought three plots of land for the above program. The project will include three class-size rooms, three guest rooms with a bathroom, toilet, and shared kitchen, a community hall, a library, and a water well. If Allah wills, the project is expected to be completed by 2026. We need your support to reach this goal as a continuous charity, which shall be for you on the day of recompense.
